We have a colourfully cosy space at number 30 High Street, Forres, filled with beautiful books. There’s bucketloads of new fiction, classics, poetry, SF, fantasy, murder, crime, short stories, weird, and children’s books; there’s a big fat nature section, a well-balanced nurture section, space for biography, history, and arts. If you’ve already got too many books (impossible), we stock a delightful range of greetings cards, stationary and board games.
The best books are the unexpected, un-looked for, the chance discoveries. Under the Leaves might have exactly the book you weren’t looking for.

Book Chat & Reading: Christian Kracht
Friday 17th July - 6pm
Acclaimed writer Christian Kracht is coming back to the shop just in time for the (English translation) release of his wondrous latest novel, Air.
Christian will be reading and chatting with the brilliant author and friend of the shop Sean Lusk. There will be plenty of time for book signings, questions, and maybe even some answers.
It will probably last about an hour and there will be some mingling and lingering around afterwards, for those that choose to stay.
